Miz Jeannie’s Mercantile respects your privacy and uses personal information only as needed to operate the shop, fulfill orders, communicate with customers, comply with legal obligations, and protect the legitimate interests of the business.
Information I receive
When you place an order or otherwise interact with my shop, Etsy may provide me with information necessary to complete the transaction, such as your name, shipping address, order details, and information you provide through Etsy Messages or other communications.
Etsy processes payment information separately under Etsy’s own policies. I do not receive your complete payment-card information.
How I use your information
I use personal information as necessary to:
• fulfill and deliver your order;
• communicate with you about an order or customer-service request;
• maintain business, tax, accounting, and transaction records;
• comply with applicable laws or legal obligations;
• prevent fraud or misuse; and
• operate and improve the shop.
I will not add you to an email marketing list or use your personal information for unrelated promotional purposes without your consent.
Sharing of information
I share personal information only when reasonably necessary. This may include Etsy; shipping carriers; service providers involved in order processing or fulfillment; technical or administrative service providers; and government, regulatory, or law-enforcement authorities when disclosure is legally required.
If the business is sold, transferred, or reorganized, information may be transferred as part of that transaction where permitted by law.
Data retention
I retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above and to meet applicable legal, tax, accounting, dispute-resolution, and recordkeeping requirements. Certain transaction records may therefore be retained for several years after an order is completed.
Transfers
Some service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where applicable, those providers are responsible for using appropriate safeguards for international transfers of personal information.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights concerning your personal information, including rights to access, correct, restrict, object to certain processing of, or request deletion of your information, subject to legal recordkeeping requirements.
